DISCLOSURE are one of dance music's most successful production teams. After debuting in 2010, the duo, consisting of English siblings Guy and Howard Lawrence, quickly became known for making lustrous, impeccably assembled pop songs, led by the global 2012 hit "Latch," featuring the then-obscure Sam Smith. The approach continued with the chart-topping, Grammy-nominated albums Settle and Caracal, issued respectively in 2013 and 2015, which added the likes of AlunaGeorge, Eliza Doolittle, Mary J. Blige, and the Weeknd to their circle. They returned in 2018 with a series of singles and in 2020 offered their third album, the similarly guest-heavy Energy. Their first commercially issued mix, an entry into the DJ-Kicks series, appeared in 2021, and they continued their return to purely club-driven music with their first independently issued album, 2023's Alchemy.
In 2020, they began live-streaming on Twitch, giving fans inside access to their most beloved songs’ production and hosting ultra-competitive remix competitions. Sydney Jane, then living in Los Angeles, entered their remix competitions three times in 2021, winning once and placing in the top 5 the other two times. Since then, Disclosure has supported and promoted her music and played an important role in solidifying her name in the Dance and UK Garage genres.
